Position Overview
  • Maintain a clear understanding of the Child Care Services (CCS) eligibility process, attendance requirements, program integrity, quality child care guidelines and policy changes. 
  • Cultivate partnerships with community stakeholders, local businesses and organizations to foster collaboration within the NCT region.  
  • Develop and support implementation of the organizations’ plans for community involvement and public engagement.  
  • Identify community-based resources that could be used to benefit the organization and the children and families we serve. 
  • Recruit early learning programs serving in desert locations and provide onsite “pop-in” visits to assist in maintaining program integrity.  
  • Plan, schedule and execute meetings and events to promote programs and build visibility.  
  • Maintain documentation of activities, attendees, follow-up, and other pertinent information for monthly reporting. 
  • Promote quality child care to families as well as encourage community involvement in children’s schools and child care facilities. 
  • Coordinate and schedule teams' attendance at community events and pop-in visits.    
  • Research and develop information packets on community resources and agencies, referral processes and contact information to share as needs arise.  
  • Facilitate the delivery of services to children and families through collaboration with community partners. 
  • Regularly attend meetings and community events with partners.  
  • Support recruitment efforts of CCS for families as needed. 
  • Must be flexible and support an environment of productivity, healthy morale, and teamwork. 
  • Assist with reports and other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in child development or a closely related field. 
  • 5-10 years of experience in social services including experience in working with limited income families from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. 
  • 3-5 years previous management or administration position with experience in developing, implementing, tracking, and follow-through to determine successful results. 
  • Experience in preparing and maintaining documents and records with a systematic approach. 
  • Computer proficiency required includes Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to utilize a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods. 
  • Proven ability to build partnerships with community stakeholders and organizations.  
  • Capability to deliver presentations at various community events and to stakeholders.  
  • Demonstrated organizational, verbal, and written communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, customers, and external vendors with professionalism and diplomacy.  
  • Must be legally authorized to work in US/TX. 
  • Position subject to successful completion of background checks. 

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods. 
  • Repetitive use of hands for reaching, handling, and turning. 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; includes light lifting of supplies and materials. 
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • Must be able to twist, turn, kneel, bend, and stoop as needed.
